Marriage Documents

To ensure a smooth registration process, the following documents are required:

  • Age Proof: Matriculation certificate, passport, driving license, PAN card, birth certificate issued by MCD or other recognized government office, voter ID card, ration card, college ID card, or age certificate by CMO.
    • Minimum Age: Boys must be above 21 years and girls above 18 years.
  • Residence Proof: Voter ID card, ration card, driving license, bank passbook, phone or electricity bill, domicile issued by a government office, voter ID of parents, college or service ID with address proof, or rent agreement.
    • Note: PAN cards are not accepted as they do not contain address information.
  • Photographs: Six passport-sized photos of both the boy and the girl (separate photos). For Muslims and Christians, eight photos are required.
  • Witnesses: Two witnesses from either side with valid ID proof such as voter ID, driving license, passport, ration card, or service ID with address proof. Each witness must provide one photo.
  • Affidavits: Two affidavits, one from the boy and one from the girl
  • Other Items: Mangal sutra, two jaimala, flowers, 2kg sweets, and at least 1kg of three types of fruits.
  • Additional Documents for Specific Cases:
    • Widows/Widowers: Death certificate of the previous spouse.
    • Divorcees: Divorce decree.
