Original Jurisdiction:
- Value of Claim: SCDRCs can entertain complaints where the value of the goods or services and the compensation claimed exceeds ₹20 lakh but does not exceed ₹1 crore.
Appellate Jurisdiction:
- SCDRCs can hear appeals against the orders of District Forums within their territorial jurisdiction.
Transfer of Cases: SCDRCs can transfer cases between District Forums within the state if they deem it necessary for the interest of justice.
Circuit Benches: SCDRCs may establish circuit benches to conduct hearings in different parts of the state to facilitate access to justice for consumers.
